I always wondered why this didn't happen more often and never ever saw a video like this (I have seen this particular video before, I mean a scenario like this)

In games you can almost always easily tell a friendly from a foe but if an armored vehicle did not display the nationality how would people who can't tell the model discern friend from foe? Fascinating but terrifying at the same time.

I'm sure it's happened but pretty rare - the largest tank VS tank combat was WW2 and the tanks were very easy to identify. With todays combat they should rely on comms and unit position reports I wouldn't have stood there even if I "knew" it was friendly.
