Never should have happened - I was there. Lax security, lax preparation, and the organizers were literally criminal in the way this event was arranged. Every corner that could be cut in the way of safety and adherence to the sports' governing body WAS cut, while other regulations were outright IGNORED. A completely inept, inferior preparation that would normally be considered a 'Three Stooges' level of hilarity if it didn't involve such a devastating loss of life.
