what I hate about the death concept is that you were, and now you're not. There's no sitting in the dark while your life plays in a loop for you to enjoy. Rational thought says it's nothing, no heaven or hell or purgatory or valhalla or sitting waiting for your next role in a new life. There's no lingering consciousness; one minute the scenes are playing and you're aware, the next you are gone. You're not looking at everything else continuing on without you. Your "being", your conscious self, this string of experiences and contacts no longer exists.
And that aspect sucks. Because most of us want to go on in some way. But you won't. At least most probably. But then... hopefully maybe I'm wrong
I think if more people thought of it this way, maybe they'd appreciate and care about the things they do and people they encounter a little more. All things come to an end.
