I find it odd to be blocked by someone for expressing humor in some of these situations. That doesn't mean jokes are always appropriate, just sometimes humor in dealing with death makes it more... palatable?
It seems considerably more psychopathic to be on a death site and NOT be needing, wanting, sharing some humor regarding the inevitable demise of us all. If you're here just to constantly see death with no sort of counterbalance? that's just fucking dark
just my two cents, fellow freaks

I only people I block are the ones who post self-harm

I can see that. Avoiding giving more attention to them, or just too cringe?

yep. Just another on the list at this point. Felt this one warranted a comment though. I don't even know this person or interact with them

I find it funny; for some on here apparently its A-Ok to visit death sites and make fun of certain people (Russians), but not other groups (American cops).

there is a certain level of hypocrisy. But that tends to be the case with a semi-public forum; you can't start banning people just because they don't necessarily mesh. And that's a problem in society as a whole. But as for here, I've seen a pretty decent equality of treatment for both (or I guess all) sides. It's tolerated to a certain level, but when it gets extreme or manic it's responded to. At least from my perspective. I have to be honest and say that I stay out of those fights. Usually just scroll on by rather than get sucked into it.

i get where you come from. however a lot of people agree that death shouldnt feel palatable, some people watch it to feel uncomfortable for a short period on purpose, because it makes them appreciate the longer and more frequent period of time where they arent watching death.

I can see that. But also, death is inevitable. Making it palatable isn't necessarily making "fun" of it. Nor does it lessen the inherent sadness involved

true as well. all depends on the person and how personally they take the subject of death. its interesting that regardless of whether or not people who view it are making fun of it or not, they still view it. its that curiosity we have.

true. and in that regard, not my place to judge. we all cope with the tools we have
