Insurance companies have a clause that they do not pay if an accident happens during commission of a crime. Hopefully they watched this too.

Not sure that this would cause an exclusion since the crime was traffic based. Otherwise they would never cover people speeding. It is also a crime to rearend someone at a light. Now fleeing police might be enough for that exclusion to activate.

Side note for fun. A college friend crashed his car while on a legit race track. Insurance covered it. They also made him sign an amendment saying they would not cover accidents at race tracks. I would have never thought the first one would be covered.
