After ruling for less than one year, Edward VIII becomes the first English monarch to voluntarily abdicate the throne. He chose to abdicate after the British government, public, and the Church of England condemned his decision to marry the American divorcée Wallis Warfield Simpson.

John awoke feeling parched after a night of slumber. He entered the kitchen and poured himself a cup of tea that had mysteriously been made. As he lifted his cup and took a sip he could hear in the far corner of the room a dark voice say, "Woah! Give me some of that". John frantically looked around but saw no one. Only Garfield. He thought he'd been hearing things so after his tea he went to bed. But john had a terrible nightmare. He awoke again and ran to Garfield. To tell him the story.
It went like this. "I awoke feeling parched after a night of slumber. I entered the kitchen and poured myself a cup of tea that had mysteriously been made. As I lifted his cup and took a sip I could hear in the far corner of the room a dark voice say, "Woah! Give me some of that". I frantically looked around but saw no one. Only Garfield. I thought he'd been hearing things so after my tea I went to bed. But I had a terrible nightmare."
After the story John went back to bed, he awoke feeling parched after a night of slumber...
