Ya, iguanas can be tempermental assholes and battles of dominance are common. Had a red iguana a while back and he ended up getting me good one day out of the blue. It was actually the physical pressure from the jaws that hurt more than the actual teeth/bite did. He held on for at least a minute (ossasionally readjusting his clampdown which hurt the most). I just waited him out and he eventually released. Rushed to the bathroom nearby dripping blood. Rinsed it under the faucet for a bit then took (1st) pic. Now over 1.5 years later the scars aren't super obvious. They're a little more visible irl than the pics show.
Taken after iguana released and I rinsed with water for a few seconds just before pic (already dripping immediately after)
Leakage approx. 1-2 seconds after wiping blood off it was replaced pretty immediately.

Im more interested in snakes but the person i lived with at the time was terrified of them so i went with an iguana instead. Ive actually had 2 now. Theyre interesting yet difficult. Not one of my first choices as far as reptilian pets go but still neat i suppose. 🦎

Mental health experts could probably study this thread. Congratulations patso. In a sub about autism full of autists you manage to be the most severely autistic. This is truly mind-boggling. What's stranger is that you can't even slightly see how insane you are. You genuinely have some sort of mental disability to continue to engage.
