Itโs hard to tell honestly. Most of what theyโre doing is ALMOST right, but you should know that a lot of paramedics are fucking stupid. Like, we arenโt supposed to just repeatedly shock people, the guy giving breaths is doing it every second (should be every 5-6 seconds), and you donโt let bystanders in the fucking rig while youโre working.

When you defibrillate, youโre having the electricity travel from one paddle to the other paddle, through the heart to stop it from fibrillating (we use sticky pads now and not paddles, but thatโs beside the point). When thereโs another point of contact (ie the woman), the electricity will travel from one paddle to the person and then to the ground. That electricity will absolutely knock you the fuck out (like, stop your heart), so yes, we do say clear for a reason.
