Woman stabbed by random nutter in Rio

A woman from São Paulo who lives in the city of Montpellier, in the south of France, for eight years, was stabbed by a man, in the early hours of this Tuesday, the 8th, in Copacabana, in the South Zone of Rio. Businesswoman Janaína da Silva Campos, 48, was sitting at around 1 am at the door of a hotel on Francisco de Sá Street when she was approached by a criminal who attacked her in the back, arms and neck. Footage from a security camera recorded the action and show the victim being rescued by a doorman and taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon, where she was attended to.

According to the tourist, she had returned from a dinner with friends to the hotel where they were staying. As smoking is not allowed in the place, she went to the sidewalk for a few minutes. At that moment, she even heard the bandit "mumble" and turned to him, being surprised by the stab wounds. Janaina said she left the country precisely because of fear of violence. At the time, she was working as a masseur at a hotel on Cumbuco Beach, in Fortaleza, Ceará, when the establishment was robbed.

It's a beautiful city, I've been to Pão de Açúcar, Copacabana Beach, Praia da Barra.
