The first loud pop you hear would be the hull cracking, and the second would be the actual implosion from the pressure chamber failing, and crushing anything inside within milliseconds. At a pressure of 250-400 atmospheres, the hull would have been crushed at around 7 times the speed of sound. The slow echo of the implosion would be heard for the remainder of the audio.

This is the sound of an implosion, but this is not the Titan submersible.

Where did you get this? Forgive me for being skeptical. It’s fascinating if real.

Maybe they should add the audio clip they are talking about onto that website to make it more verifiable

Was it ever confirmed what the knocks were? They heard 2 sets of knocks 30 mins apart from another which is apparently a standardized SOS thing. And I heard the recordings of those and they sound like someone banging on a metal hull/wall. But if the submarine imploded as soon as it hit a certain depth then wtf were the knocks

Them when they realized the comms were lost maybe? Idk. But yes, this is audio of a separate implosion recorded by the SOSUS (actual name lol). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOSUS

Nice post
, are they actually the actual sounds or just example?

Actual sounds of glass floatation spheres, not the actual sounds of the Titan submersible like I previously thought they were.
