If you cant turn the electricity off, then your fucked. You cant mix water and electricity, or you'll get zapped and make it worse, and you cant smother it because you'll get fried through the clothes your touching (if it has any polyester nylon or rayon) . Your best bet it to use baking soda or a class c fire extinguisher, which I highly doubt will be in your back pocket.
Metalic fires should never be put out with water. A regular fire extinguisher will not help. Actually it makes it worse. You need a class d extinguisher or sand. Which, again, i highly doubt you'd have.

Don't forget the ' it's very important also if you can't see a flame well those are actually pretty hard to put out and there's a couple of chemicals that when ignited they make invisible flames because of the color of the flames.
