Both never explicitly said the reason why he jumped but one of them claimed it was due to his beloved pet dog dying, which I believed was the catalyst. He suffered from bipolar disorder and that his pet dog dying was the last straw for him

I sometimes have thoughts of doing the exact same thing as Brian. But honestly, when you really think about it, there's no good way to die. Some might be quick, or merciful, but there's just no good way to die...

And while this community has brought out those thoughts in me a few times, they've also been the same thing that kept me away from it. To be frank, I think less and less about killing myself every time I see a clip like this. In the months before I became fascinated with seeing death and gore, I was regularly having thoughts of jumping from my own balcony. Nowadays however I barely even think of it. It might seem contradictory, but looking death in the eyes is a good way to stay out of his path.

I agree. These videos give me appreciation for my life, when I have struggled with suicidal ideation in the past. Watching other people die keeps those thoughts well at bay.

Death is never the answer. We have to endure what's to come or what we have done. These videos are great examples because doesn't solve the issue or fix anything, suicide just passes the issues to someone else in different shapes. I'd say "think of your loved ones" as a cliche but the fact that people can get courage to even think killing themselves from your actions is even way worse to think about. I'm happy to hear that you're hardly thinking about it but I'm being truly sincere here that you can message me to talk about anything.
