The powerlines have the electricity running through a copper wire, because copper wire is an excellent conductor of electricity. Copper is a better conductor of electricity than organic bodies are (either human or bird), so because her hands are going from wire to wire, the electricity simply chooses the path of least resistance and continues going through the copper instead of through her. If she was touching something else that provided another path, or if she was covered in something more conductive than copper, she would be zapped.

thats not why she didn't get zapped. In order to get electrocuted, there needs to be a source of electricity AND a connection to the ground or anything that is touching the ground, thus completing a circuit. You might think the wooden poles would do the trick, but no, not only are they heavily treated, but the hendrix wire assembly as shown in the video are heavily coated in weather proofing and ran through insulators so there is no ground connection or contact with the pole itself. You can cross connect two of the primary lines by grabbing two of the wires at once and get a nasty shock, but she is only hanging from one. Think birds. they dont get zapped until they spread their wings and connect two wires at once or connect with a tree and a line at the same time. Now you know.
