i respect this, this is the coolest way to commit suicide i just only wish he did it infront of a crowd. imagine doing it infont of a crowd, just suddenly getting up during your college lecture or something and standing next to the professor in front of everyone and just standng still for about 15 seeconds so everyone can comprehend and digest the peculiarness of the situation then you whip out a knife and do one quick swipe and sever both carotids then just stand there bleeding profusely from your neck for about 10 seconds before you fall over flat on your face

It's might be possible to pull that off - you'd have to be well-prepared though as you likely only have the one shot at it.

yeh its definately possible man the common carotid arteries are rather superficial around the C4 cervical spinal level, before they bifurcate into the internal and external carotids. its definately possible to snatch both of them in one clean swipe, and youd be out in less than 10 seconds once theres no more blood supply to the brain.

A trusty "OLFA" brand cutter with a fresh LBB ultra-sharp blade would do the trick. Depending on the length you had sticking out of the cutter, you'd have to be careful you didn't decapitate yourself. Those units are probably sharp enough to shave with no trouble. But if only one side is cut, would there not still be a bit of circulation coming through the circle of Willis using blood supplied by the uncut side ? (long time since I did that anatomy course eh) Either way though it's lights out soon enough.

yes exacly man the circle of willis ensures blood supply to both sides of the brain even if one of the carotids is severed, you have to get both of them but i think this is reasonable and possible
