He was 17 or 18 his gun jammed or wasn't loaded but it had a laser on it like my dad's I fought to not be robbed I just got paid &I just left my boyfriends house on foot when it happened at night like 11pm last June &yes I work 6 yrs at a job &buy nice things I'm not letting a thug rob me

That's pretty much what I was trying to figure out...whether you were risking your life for something of value or whether it was simply a fight/flight/freeze/fawn response. Sounds like you had the time and executive function to think about the value of items you didn't want to lose so you weren't in strict survival mode. Thankfully gun jammed or wasn't loaded...I doubt you had more money than your life is worth on you.
I've been robbed at gun point too. It was actually a home invasion with many men who tied everyone up and held a gun to my son's head when he was a few months old. Thankfully none of us attempted to physically fight them. They would have for sure killed us. One of my friends did try to resist telling them where some of his valuables were and he was hurt pretty bad. They tazed him in the face and toes repeatedly even after he gave the valuables up.

Wow messed up sorry you went threw that I just wasn't afraid I'd say I'm scared of dieing but at the time I didn't care if I was shot or hurt I just didn't want that low life robbing me . I had my work uniform with me &a expensive laptop bag I bought for my computer &I had that with me & my boyfriend warned me he felt something was gonna happen bad to me ¬ go I said look it's hot &humid I just wanna go &shower I be ok I ended up not being robbed of my things but knocked &dragged on ground &one strap to my laptop bag broke other than that the asshole left empty handed a car came & the girl knew me &beeped her horn scaring the idiots off me &of all things it was a Sunday night not many people out you know but it was all caught on someone's outside camera police ended up getting them

Thanks…it was a long time ago. It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever been through but it definitely wasn’t like the movies make it seem. There wasn’t anyone frantically screaming and crying and unable to control their emotions. Just very surreal and every minute felt like an hour. My son was crying but I’m sure he could feel the energy was off so he was fussy. There was only one moment when I felt any actual panic and it was when the only other females in the house and I were moved to another room away from the guys. The way they did it made it seem like it was going in a much darker direction and I could feel a bit of panic begin…but it thankfully didn’t go that way.
