well I think the reason for the jump is too get a definite death from a height, they tend too occure in cities...where there is no access too a natural height too jump from, say a mountain. Unless there is, and I assume people do. But if you want too be precise, why does it have too be in private? death is as natural as walking, and is as shared as breathing if you or a loved one stopped breathing and no body would stop too help, or even noticed it, well there's your "privacy". Suicide Jumpers and collisions are rare, however, they are not impossible, they happen at a bizzare point in the world, The chance of 2 lives being forced together bound by death. well it is very bizare, but hardly selfish.

Why not just go to a tall apartment block, get to the top floor, wait for the elevator to disappear and then when nobody is around force open the shaft door and just jump to your death in there? One person from the elevator maintenance team will see it, versus numerous people on the street?
Yes I understand what you mean about death being natural and I totally agree that the chances of collision are very slim, like in this video for example, but it's not fair on innocent children if they witness something like this. There are only 3 things sacred in this world and they need protecting at all costs, Children, Animals and the frail and senile elderly population.
If your life gets so bad to the point where you don't want to live, do the right thing and save an innocent person the mental trauma.

Not sure it's all that crazy, really.
Like that's a corrugated iron fence that he fell down onto. That's essentially a guillotine of sorts. While not "razor" sharp, it is still sharp when falling down onto/across it with weight.
It would have easily cut his entire body clean in two, not just taken off his arm, if he had've been at a slightly different angle. That shit can cut.
