i love how NOBODY tried going up there to help him. The gasps prove there were at least dozens of people fucking watching this guy just waiting for him to do it. Man, humanity has no chance. i get bystander effect, but this is a whole nother sad realization at how little humans care for one another vs. that dopamine fix from seeing something new/exciting/unpredictable. fck.

What are you talking? There were two people (probably mall security or police) up there with him. What else do you expect? Yes, they could have distracted him and then leap forward to grab him. But what's the use? If he wants to end it they can't babysit him 24/7. My complaint would be the video stopped too early.

I'm not normally calloused the way you're being but you're making a hell of a lot of sense. Legitimately. I know multiple people who have committed suicide and I can't take any blame in the fact that they were figuratively hanging over a railing. You can't just grab someone and pull them over. People have their own desires and as dark as it may be for us we need to understand that maybe the guy found peace. 🤷🏻♂️💜✨

i dont expect anything based on todays standards. im no hero, but if i were there for a few minutes seeing this guy about to risk the biscuit, i'd try to run to the bottom floor, find a store with a big blanket or fabric, yell at others to lend a hand, then go towards his landing spot. its a mall. lots of kids that dont need to be traumatized for life seeing this guy splatter blood. i'd try, likely fail, but at least i know i tried instead of standing there like a fucking monkey with my phone out for so long based on the gasps, he was there awhile

They can scream like it's coming as some kind of surprise but there's no way they didn't know what would happen with him hanging over the railing like that. Humanity has grown callous. It happened in my city, Ribeirão Preto. That mall (Santa Ursula Shopping) is very known by lots of suicides that happened there. I remember that one, and after 3 days a young girl also commited suicide there.Nowadays there is no more those empty spaces, they covered it all with a fabric/grid (i dont know the exactly word in english). Anyway, since the mall was bought by Multiplan, one of the biggest chains of shopping centers in Brazil and after they made so many changes, no suicide happened again there. Here is a pic of how inside of the mall looks like today.
