The suicide happened today, Sunday 18th, in the Jacintinho neighbourhood, in Maceió.
According to early information, the man whose name has not been released, threw himself off of the Cleto Campelo viaduct after he'd argued and assaulted his companion in the middle of the avenue. Police had already been called to another incident, and the squad car probably freaked the male out, who may of thought they were him.
The police tried to verbally stop the man, but to no avail. He landed on the road below, head smashing hard enough to crush skull, leaving brain matter and blood pooling around his head.
The road below was sealed off, until the body was examined and then removed to a morgue ready for an autopsy.
