Bonus points for creativity, but out of ALL the different ways to take your own life, why choose this route? I imagine the pain was ungodly and it took a bit to actually die much like being set on fire. 😐

I imagine death was pretty quick actually, the shock and adrenaline would probably make the pain not so bad and there is very little oxygen.
But I could be wrong not sure, I just know that molten metal is denser than the human body so he would've floated.

When it comes to extreme temperatures, death is almost instantaneous. The water in your body expands so quickly that you basically explode, destroying nerves and all. If there was any pain, it was for an instant. Definitely no suffering involved.

Yeah, he definitely felt that. I almost felt some of it just watching. That’s more than despair and hopelessness, that’s a highly ambitious desire to suffer as much as possible at the end. So unceremonious, too, considering how extreme of a choice it was. If the fire hadn’t blown up I wonder how long before anyone even would notice he was missing. I think I would have at least yelled HEY EVERYBODY! WATCH THIS! just to be sure someone could appreciate the spectacle.
