Somewhere in China - Mar 13, 2014
Surveillance cameras have caught the shocking moment an under-pressure Chinese student jumped to his death during class.
The footage claims to show an emotionless boy suddenly leaving his desk, running over to a ledge and leaping out.
His actual jump occurs out of shot, and was not filmed by the camera.
But the devastated reaction of his fellow classmates, who sprint over to see what's happened before pacing up and down with their heads in their hands, appears to suggest he tried to commit suicide.
Details of the incident are currently scant. It's not clear exactly where in China, or at what school, it took place.
The clip was uploaded to LiveLeak Wednesday. "High school student Xiao Zhen leaps to his death from a window in the middle of class," the description says.
"It is believed this happened due to pressure of preparing for college entrance exams," it adds.

And the student probably knew his parents were going to disown him if he got an A instead of A+ (or whatever scoring system they use in that shithole of a country).

And Chinese people live in worthless honors. His school may have "honor classes", "honor dormitories" and "honor students". If he is not selected he will be looked down upon in a subtle way. This can lead to great mental illness. Everyone in the class is in a state of hostility, and they hurt each other for meaningless honors.

From what I understand, this high school categorizes its classes into five levels: regular classes, STEM classes, junior college classes, advanced classes, and international classes. Recently, this student faced punishment for making mistakes in a government-run class. He was subjected to teasing from his classmates, as he had a passion for dancing but was ridiculed by his peers. Going to school for 16 hours a day, not being able to go home for one semester, and the Chinese emphasis on "sense of honor" seriously hurt him.
