Katelyn Nicole Davis was a 12-year-old American girl who committed suicide. She hung herself from a tree in her backyard while live streaming the event to Live.me. The video was shared on social media, particularly on Facebook. The resulting publicity brought an outpouring of online support and attention to the issues of suicide causes and prevention, child abuse, bullying, and appropriate use of social media.

Late reply, but this is the video that's always been the hardest on me. In the longer version on WPD she's talking to the stream and you can sense the hesitancy. Even after she sets up the noose, she finds any reason to wait longer. I felt like she might have wanted someone to save her before she took her life. When that didn't happen, she went throught with it.
What's more heartbreaking are the calls for her after she is most likely dead. I assume her mother finds her after calling for her. Then when she discovers her daughter... Oh my. I never thought I'd be able to see this again since WPD took it down quickly. Poor girl; all the trauma she endured and no one protected her, especially not her own family. I'll never forget her.
