A 26-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident on Friday morning (August 24. in Montes Claros, in the north of Minas Gerais. According to the Military Police, Fabiano Pereira da Silva was hit by a car that disobeyed a mandatory stop sign, on Tupinamba Street, in the Melo neighborhood. The accident was at 6:40 am and was recorded by security cameras.
Fabiano followed Tupi Street, towards the All Saints District, when he was hit. With the impact, the motorcycle was designed about 100 meters from the crash site. "It was a very shocking accident. In 25 years of Military Police I have never seen anything so shocking. According to Samu, the death was almost instantaneous" says sub-lieutenant Fabiano Borges.
After hitting the biker, the car spun on the track and hit a lighting pole. "The four occupants returned from a party with strong indications of having drunk alcoholic beverages. They're all locked up. Still, a resident covered up the driver and tried to disrupt the work of the PM and is also being arrested for it" says the sub-lieutenant.
All detainees were taken to the Plantao Police Station.
