I can't understand how everyone is blaming only the parents. Like, i would imagine on that tiny road NOT bustling with tons of moving cars, the driver must have seen a small child playing near by. When there are dozens of kids playing basketball on my street, I wait until all of them are moved onto the sidewalk before I back out. And then I watch them as I back out because if one moves towards the street, guess what I do? I fucking stop so I don't run them over. If I don't see any kids I still triple check before backing out of my driveway cause those little fuckers are fast and small

The kid literally runs out right as he's backing up there is no possible way he saw that kid. He ran out from the driveway which is beyond drivers FOV
