This happened in México City. August 17th, 2022

The video of only 39 seconds was recorded on August 16, at 2:00 p.m., by a video surveillance camera of a home located on the street of the Carlos Hank neighborhood, in the Iztapalapa mayor's office, Mexico City.

The images show when the little boy, named Ángel “N”, got off the sidewalk, approached the back of the white car and crouched down, apparently in search of a toy.

At that moment the motorist reverses and runs over him and then remains still. The scream of another child alerts the parents, who immediately and desperately try to lift the vehicle and get their child out. However, the unit moves forward and crushes him again.

After six long seconds, the father lifts the infant and carries him in his arms, caressing him; while his mother approaches to complain by hitting the driver. In the end they disappear from the frame and the owner of the car, who is dressed in a dark t-shirt and cap, comes out after them with a bewildered expression.

Despite the spectacular nature of the images, journalist Carlos Jiménez pointed out that Ángel has had at least three studies done at a pediatric hospital in the Venustiano Carranza mayor's office and the results indicate that the minor, incredibly, only had a fracture in one arm and a crush injury to a lung, so he is stable.

He also assured that the case is already being investigated by the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CDMX).
