A citizen was run over by a truck on Thursday afternoon, March 10, 2022, in Guasmo Sur, Guayaquil. Images captured by a security camera located on Juan Péndola Avenue, of the Cooperativa Unión de Bananeros, show the exact moment in which the man is crossing the street. And just as he passes in front of the heavy load vehicle, the driver puts it in gear and takes him away.
The victim was walking with a small cart in his hands; he does not have time to react to the onslaught and is left under the truck. Subsequently, the tires of the trailer ran over him twice while the vehicle continued on its way.
Neighbors in the area noticed the accident and immediately went to assist him. The same video shows that the citizen is still alive after the impact, as it can be seen when he is in agony as a result of the terrible accident.
The journalist Paul Tutiven reports that he was taken in an ambulance to a nearby health center and on the way his death was confirmed.
