Aftermath:
Dudinka, Russia
August 2, 2023
It has been found out where the men who died in the crash of the seaplane in Dudinka were flying. According to preliminary data, two men went to the Putorana plateau on a private tourist airboat Borey.
According to our source, the victims were warned that the weather was not flying and it was dangerous to fly against the wind. However, the pilot did not obey and flew with the passenger. As a result, the ship was wrecked, both were killed. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police are working on the site.
The crash occurred on August 2 at about 11 o'clock during takeoff from the Dudinka River.

too high rate of climb when taking off WITH the wind = unrecoverable stall

Yeah, but that's not what happened. As you can see it flies perfectly when flying into the wind, but once it starts turning the crosswind gets too bad and they lose control.

Hmm, the flag does disprove my turn hypothesis, but it looks to me like there was a crosswind all along. It definitely didn't stall completely, but maybe one wing stalled causing the turn and loss of control
