On Saturday, August 3, Volzhsky was shocked by the terrible news about an accident at a hydroelectric dam. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region announced the official information about the incident.
The accident occurred at 14:17 in front of the contact support No. 138. The VAZ-21140 car abruptly changed lanes from the right lane to the left lane in the direction of the city of Volgograd, in front of the Renault Duster car. The 22-year-old driver of the VAZ, who, as emphasized in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was in a sober state, had to give way to the Renault, but did not take into account the danger of the maneuver. As a result, there was a collision between Renault and the fourteenth, which was thrown into a red Chevrolet Aveo by the impact.
A 19-year-old girl and a 23-year-old boy who were in the VAZ cabin died on the spot. A 41-year-old female Chevrolet driver, a 22-year-old Renault driver, a 23-year-old Renault passenger girl, a 7-year-old Renault passenger boy, a 4-year-old Renault passenger boy were taken to the hospital with various injuries, - the press service of the GU reports The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Volgograd region.
As a relative, Victoria Ch., told the injured 7-year-old boy that the child is in intensive care. The arm could not be saved after the accident.
The driver of the VAZ was also injured. Investigators of the Volga Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of this article provides for up to 7 years in prison.

It is a pit maneuver. Just because the driver probably intended to cut the vehicle off, doesn't mean they didn't do such a shit job it ended up being a pit maneuver.
