A pedestrian died last Friday evening, October 23 on the road bypassing Abakan, the UGIBDD of Khakassia reports.
The 33-year-old man was running across the road at a pedestrian crossing when cars in both directions stopped to let him pass.
"At that moment, a Lada Granta car was heading towards the Molodezhny quarter from the side of the Itygin and Krylov streets roundabout, the driver of which did not notice the person because of the parked car," the Traffic Police Department of the Russian Federation clarifies.
The man died before the ambulance arrived.
Traffic inspectors noted that this was the second fatal accident in a week on one section of the road.
