On June 26, at about 16:00, a fatal accident occurred in the area of house No. 45 on P. Sukhova Street in Gorno-Altaysk of Altai Republic. A Toyota Corolla car with taxi markings applied, moving from Kayasinskaya Street in the direction of Komumnistichesky Avenue, crashed into a standing PAZ 32054 bus at speed.
The driver of the car, a 38-year-old local resident, died at the scene.
Yesterday, a video of the accident was distributed on social networks, in which a Toyota Corolla first moves slowly and uncertainly down the street, then suddenly accelerates and crashes into a bus.
The bus driver, a 57-year-old citizen, was sober. According to eyewitnesses, methane was released from the gas cylinders installed on the bus from a strong impact, so everyone on the bus had to evacuate urgently.
The driver of the foreign car died before the ambulance arrived.
