A 56-year-old woman died and six other people were injured after a car fell from a newly opened overpass in India on a Saturday.
According to βIndia Todayβ, the vehicle was traveling on the viaduct at 104 km/h. The speed limit permitted on the road is 40 km/h. After making a winding right turn, the driver lost control. When it collided at the bottom, a group of pedestrians ended up being hit.
The driver, Krishna Milan Rao Kalvakuntla, suffered minor injuries and was detained. He fractured his collarbone and suffered burns. The accident occurred in Hyderabad, India, at Biodiversity Junction.
Pasala Naga Venkata Satyaveni died instantly. His 23-year-old daughter was also hit and is in stable condition β as are the other five victims.
