Mayon, Philippines

A driver and his passenger died after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a van at an intersection in Barangay Mayon, Daraga, Albay.

According to the police, the van was traveling to Sorsogon from Manila but when it reached the intersection in Barangay Mayon, the motorcycle reportedly crossed suddenly.

Police said the motorcycle driver may not have noticed the oncoming van, resulting in the collision.

The driver of the van is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide.
