VIDEO: Pedestrian dies after being hit by a rearing motorcycle in the South of Minas; driver fled the scene
A pedestrian died after being run over by a motorcyclist who was riding his motorcycle on a busy avenue in the São Geraldo neighborhood, in Pouso Alegre , on Thursday afternoon (25).
According to information from the Military Police, the accident happened on Avenida Vereador Antônio da Costa Rios.
Images from security cameras show the moment in which the man, who was limping, crosses the avenue and is hit squarely by the motorcycle, which had its front wheel turned up.
After the accident, the motorcyclist fled the scene. João Maria Want, 58 years old, was rescued by Samu, but died before reaching the hospital.
