Yes, gender reveals are completely retarded. But he was also a pilot for hire. Nobody “got” him killed. As bad as it sounds, he got himself killed — he flew too low, and pulled up too quickly, causing the wing strut on the left wing to fail and snap the wing off. Yeah, he died for some people's completely stupid gender reveal, but being a pilot for hire means you take the gigs as they come. Source: my wife is a pilot for hire, and she's fucking awesome at it, too. But that's how these things work, and you always need to be so very careful.

I've been to plenty of gender reveal parties and never did I ever have to consider my safety at such parties. They're just parties like every other party. Some people like to throw big parties. People sometimes die at parties just like people sometimes die at the buffet. I'm convinced people that legitimately despise gender reveal parties just genuinely hate fun.

I can see that but I can't help but feel if this party didn't happen the pilot would have stayed alive instead of dying here. Can't say for certain however, since this is how things worked out. I'm sure there's many variables that came into play with this incident. I imagine improper maintenance could have also contributed if things were ignored.
