Motorcyclist dies crushed by truck this Thursday (27), in Ananindeua

Security camera footage recorded the moment of the accident

A man, identified as Almir Lucas Medeiros Senado, according to information from the Military Police of Pará (PMPA), died on the afternoon of this Thursday, 27th, after being run over by a truck , in the Atalaia neighborhood , in Ananindeua . The accident happened on the São Pedro crossing , a road that gives access to the BR-316 highway . Security circuit images near the scene recorded the exact moment of the accident. According to information from witnesses, the accident occurred around 2:30 pm.The truck driver, who was not identified, was very shaken by the accident and was rescued by workers from a company in the area. The professional and the truck were taken to the Jaderlândia Section, where the driver must give a statement about what happened. The São Pedro crossing is used by drivers to travel between the BR-316 highway and the Três Corações and Mário Covas avenues, in Ananindeua. The road gives access to the entrance to the Metropolitan Hospital for Urgency and Emergency and is signposted horizontally and vertically, but there are no speed bumps. According to Wagner Souza, a witness to the accident, who works at a company in the region, it is common to see the recklessness of motorcyclists on the street. "It has happened that motorcycles have collided again. Unfortunately, the bikers themselves are reckless, they don't want to wait and overtake correctly and cut off on the right", he lamented.Traffic was released after the body was collected and experts finished their work at 4:50 pm.

In the video, the motorcyclist appears to be traveling to the right of the truck , until he slips in a flooded part of the road and falls to the left . At this moment, the driver's head and part of the torso ends up under the truck's wheels and is crushed by the large vehicle.

The body of the accident victim was sent to the Forensic Medical Institute, where it will await identification by family members.
