This is the shocking moment a driver was flung out of his window and across three lanes of traffic in a fatal high-speed crash into a barrier.
The 25-year-old victim, who died from his injuries, was attempting to overtake a vehicle near Taichung City, Taiwan, when he lost control of his car.
Dashcam footage shows the dark-coloured vehicle swerving into a metal barrier around 9.40am on Saturday.
Moments later the driver, who is only known as Lu, is thrown from his hatchback and into the barrier on the opposite side of the road.
Lu was taken to hospital where he was given CPR for up to 30 minutes. He died later that day.
Doctors confirmed he suffered from a severe skull fracture and a cerebral haemorrhage.
The driver's overtaking manoeuvre is illegal in the country but is said to be rarely punished.

My Mandarin is kinda iffy but the subtitle as the red circle is shown says “As driver suspected the speedometer.”
So, he saw it, panicked and yeah.

I used to not buckle up when I was young. It was also in the 80’s and 90’s. No seatbelts, ashtrays in cars, crap like that. Thought I was so cool. Until a friend got in a car accident and was paralyzed. Buckled up every time after that. Death in an accident didn’t frighten me oddly enough, it was the paralyzed thing that shook me.

I was 16 when I started to "religiously" wear a seat belt. I had two friends and they were doing 80 mph on the freeway and hit the center barrier and rolled the car. One friend had a couple minor bruises and scratches...the other was partially ejected through the window and decapitated. I'm sure you can guess which one was wearing a seat belt...
