Goddamn, I just saw something almost exactly like this happen about a week ago in the parking lot while I was buying groceries. It was some old dude who was taking forever to back out of his spot, only to continue driving in reverse — and I don’t mean “reversing”, I literally mean driving in reverse — and he pops the curb, and smashes into some guy pushing a shopping cart to his car, who thankfully didn’t go under the wheels, and he was alright, but it still smoked him pretty hard. And then this old man accelerates forward at full-speed straight into one of the support pillars for the awning. I was just sitting in my car watching this happen, because there was nothing else that I could really do. It was so fucking surreal.
