In Japan A Sewer Worker Crushed by Car During Cleaning Work

NAGOYA -- A sewer worker died after being struck by a car as he was emerging from a manhole in the city of Kariya in central Japan's Aichi Prefecture on Jan. 24. Killed in the incident, which occurred at about 10:20 a.m., was Terumasa Hayashi, a 47-year-old resident of the Aichi Prefecture town of Taketoyo.
