My sister is dead and my still doing my stupid meaningless social media thing. Dang. This generation is fucked. I really hope the next generation gets it together. I think they will. They’ve seen the stupidity of the current generation and I feel they’re slowing righting the wrongs.

Every generation had done dumb shit. Consider that because of the internet you just see more of it than you would otherwise. Individuals aren't indicative of an entire generation as well.

I agree that individuals aren’t indicative of an entire generation but the numbers don’t lie. Mathematics don’t lie. Without citing or researching, the internet boom along with the social media boom has influenced the generation very negatively. They see stupid stuff and want to recreate it. The fact that the internet or social media wasn’t around for my generation means less of us were exposed to stupid stuff and hence we did less stupid stuff. I think that makes sense. I’m a software architect so I feel I’m somewhat intellectual.
