How do people just ride off after running someone over? I would encourage that if we were in 1750 or sth, but 2023? Come on man, there's fucking cameras everywhere... unfortunately.

you know you can say that cause you've never faced such situation. I've been a traffic cop for 6 years. In such cases, mob on streets gets so violent that they can beat the driver to death so car drivers run in fear. Obviously in a city like Delhi there's cctv on every street and we use yellow license number plates that gets scanned on every checkpoint so they can be get caught easily but as I said everybody fears their lives.
Yet I have seen lots of cases in which car drivers help the people and bring them to hospitals but that happens mostly on highways or lonely roads where they do not face threat of getting lynched by angry mob.
