Vehicle
Planes and trains, cars and bikes, trucks and buses. If someone is killed thanks to any kind of vehicle, this is where it belongs. Here you will learn to look both ways before crossing the street (or the train tracks), why motorcycles are 30 times deadlier than cars, and more!

I never went out riding without gloves, full leathers, and race boots. Same thing I wore on the track. The clowns I see on Sport bikes that have on t shirts, shorts, flip flops etc. astound me.

Its alright, just wait til you hit a deer. None of that shit will help. Aunt spent 10 months in the hospital, 4 in ICU, and 2 in a coma.

What are you talking about? Having gear on is the difference between being torn apart and just being banged up in a lot of cases, no coma to recover from if you're ripped in half.

The point is they're dangerous regardless. Have you not seen the videos on this site of the yayhoos with a crushed skull under their helmet?

Yes, I've also been in accidents that would have killed me that wrecked my helmets instead. It's always dangerous to be in a bike accident but it's dramatically more dangerous without proper gear and much more likely you'll survive with it on. I'd also way rather hit a deer than a car.

What in the thread necromancy is this?
I've been a professional driver for 20 years, people have hit me (their fault) plenty of times. It's unavoidable when you spend most of your day driving, there are so many idiots.

I would never out ride my braking distance. I saw it all the time though, guys doing 100 with woods on both sides of the road while I did 35 MPH. Hitting a deer was one of my biggest fears on the street. That, and the left turn, no look driver.
