This afternoon, a truck and a VAZ-2114 collided in the Saratov region near the village of Sergievskii.

According to the press service of the regional Traffic Inspectorate, at 13.30 on the 336th kilometer of the Syzran - Saratov-Volgograd highway, a heavy truck tried to avoid a collision with the Lada Largus, which was not in time to complete overtaking, following the oncoming lane, after which it hooked the curb and crashed into the VAZ-2114, which was also moving on the oncoming lane.

As a result of the accident, the 39-year-old driver of the 2114 and a 10-year-old boy were killed. Two more passengers - a 16-year-old girl and a woman - were hospitalized.

However, the accidents in this area did not end there. Soon, a Volkswagen Touareg following the VAZ-2114, trying to avoid the scene of the accident, drove into the oncoming lane, where it crashed into another truck. The driver of the SUV and his passenger were injured.
