On the afternoon of this Friday, May 24, a hitman attack was recorded in front of the fire station in Buga, where a man was attacked with a firearm and died at the scene.
Local authorities began an investigation to clarify the motives behind the murder and find those responsible for the crime. The vehicle and the scene of the attack are being examined by forensic teams for clues that may lead to the attackers.
According to the recent report from the authorities that presents the homicide rate in Valle del Cauca, during 2024 the figure has increased in Buga. The municipality is one of the most violent in the department, with more than 37 homicides, which means an increase of 19% compared to last year.
