A few months ago I had my first self-harm, it was horrible, my God, I can't stop thinking about it, my skin feels dirty and right now I want to take my arm off.

but despite that every time I see something sharp I feel the need to hurt myself again

OFFICIAL STORY:

On March 30, 1981, President of the United States Ronald Reagan was shot and wounded by John Hinckley Jr. in Washington, D.C., as he was returning to his limousine after a speaking engagement at the Washington Hilton. Hinckley believed the attack would impress actress Jodie Foster, with whom he had developed an erotomanic obsession.

White House press secretary James Brady, Secret Service agent Tim McCarthy, and D.C. police officer Thomas Delahanty were also wounded. All three survived, but Brady had brain damage and was permanently disabled. His death in 2014 was considered a homicide because it was ultimately caused by his injury.

Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity on charges of attempting to assassinate the president. He remained confined to St. Elizabeth's Hospital, a D.C. psychiatric facility. In January 2015, federal prosecutors announced that they would not charge Hinckley with Brady's death, despite the medical examiner's classification of his death as a homicide. Hinckley was released from institutional psychiatric care on September 10, 2016.

Soon after the attempt, it was discovered that Hinckley had ties to national socialism as he had been previously photographed by a journalist. Hinckley had allegedly been ousted from the group as a result of publicly advocating violence.

Feds seized these pictures quickly and from that point all information surrounding this revelation was stifled within the press.

In conclusion, it is very difficult to find information surrounding this, it seems as if a censorship campaign was put in place to contain it. It begs the question if the ridiculous official explanation of the motive was a cover-up. To me, it seems more likely that he was a fed within a nazi group or potentially acted out of ideological reasons rather than on account of the official explanation.

The F-104N's pilot, Joseph A. Walker, was killed in the collision. The Valkyrie's co-pilot, Carl S. Cross, also lost his life. The XB-70A, despite sustaining significant damage, managed to stay airborne briefly before crashing into the desert floor.
