It appears to be built without any kind of load sensor, as well as no automatic doors so you don't know when it's open easily.
It also starts to begin moving way too quickly, I'm guessing it's a time sensor. The designer probably didn't want people to have to wait around for it to go, but it should definitely have a longer wait time than necessary rather than trying to be the closest to the "average elevator entry time"
The system to notify the elevator has arrived also seems to be garbage. Just a different light. Maybe there is an audible "ding" or something, I can't tell with no audio.
I already avoid elevators whenever possible, stairs are better exercise anyway. If it's over 12 floors and I'm going to be there for multiple days, I will take the elevators.
