CHILD WARNING (CW) Dad tries to save but little boy gets crushed by elevator

I hope the kid survived, and all the smug idiots criticizing I hope you'll never have to make a qick decision like that. If he would have tried to pull him and only manages to do it half way then the elevator breaks the kids back. He made the least bad decision and acted selflessly and with heroism I doubt many could muster.

Poor baby. Saw another video of a little boy getting stuck between the door and the actual elevator. It locked and the elevator came and push him down the slit between the two. You couldn't see blood, hear any screams, or seem him make a fuss. He just stood there and once the eleven came and pushed him down you could see his head smushing, no blood at all. These elevator designs are terrifying. I hope that little angel is okay.

Typical Soviet era shit. I still live in an apartment building with one of those elevators. Poor boy though.

That's really fucked man, do you know the worst? The child already seemed a little big, I think that losing a baby is not the same as losing a child that is already a little big, someone with whom you've probably already lived the best moments of your life, that's horrendous.

If that kid died, I feel bad for the dad. He saw his own child die right in front of him.

Nah sucks to say it, but the dad made the wrong move. Before the elevator started moving up the dad was in a perfect position to pull the child away. Instead of pulling the kid out he pushed the legs in as the elevator went up.

I wish i didn't watch that...poor baby! I hope he lived. That dad cared only for his son in that moment..as it should be that way...however we all know not all parents are good ones.

Smug idiot criticizing here. When you're in a totally unpredictable and novel situation and you have half a second to decide, your decision will very likely be suboptimal. Dad's decision was bad. He should have pulled him off instead. I've noticed many people do this with rogue elevators. They try and climb to where they were heading, be it the elevator or off it, instead of falling back to where they were coming from, leading them to get pinched.

Hopefully I see enough of these kinds of videos on here and get to read enough unemotional comments analysing them, that if or when I encounter something like that, I'll be able to make a better decision.
