I hope the kid survived, and all the smug idiots criticizing I hope you'll never have to make a qick decision like that. If he would have tried to pull him and only manages to do it half way then the elevator breaks the kids back. He made the least bad decision and acted selflessly and with heroism I doubt many could muster.

ya it's legit a last second decision. Personally I think I would have tried to yank him back instead but either option ya pick there's still a chance of the kid dying. He did the best he could, that's all you can do here. Now it's up to luck but I don't think the kid made it. RIP.

True, however the only way he could have fallen is if he was squeezed through the space between the elevator and the wall. He most likely got his skull crushed before falling.
