My parents wanted to take my skydiving for me 19th birthday some 11 years ago and I refused. My siblings and they all jumped but I felt they all and myself had waaaay too much to lose. Like thanks I'm happy I was born into a rich Russian family and have more money than I can count dad and want to live long enough to inherit yours as well, do you like tempting fate? They were all okay, and still call me a bitch for it today and maybe I am a bitch but Id like to live out this particular life as long as possible. Odds are if I'm ever conscious as another human again it'll be a poor person in a LEDC. Many of these guys are clearly at least middle income. Who else can afford to do this? Eventually something is bound to go wrong. Maybe I'm too careful these days but life is fragile, as we can all plainly see..
