Traumatic brain injury. Lots of people have weak necks. They fall on their backs but the head decides to whack-it on the ground. That impact is equivalent to a baton to your head. I've fallen on my back a few times, one a drop from 8ft in elementary school. However for whatever reason my neck is built Ford tough and I've never hit my head it. I did hit the top of my head tackling a guy in a fight. Lost 3 seconds of consciousness.

I really don't understand the human impulse to try to stand people up who have been injured. I think somewhere in their irrational heads they figure that if someone gets hurt and falls, if you stand up, then whatever hurt them will be reversed.
