On July 29 2022, an Indian man named Muthuswamy was overseeing the production of porridge for a religious festival in the state of Tamil Nadu when he fell into one of the pots, full of boiling hot porridge. Muthuswamy tried to pull himself but failed to do so. Serveral bystanders sprang to help Muthuswamy but it was near impossible due to the extreme heat of the porridge. Eventually they managed to tip the pot over, spilling its contents as well as Muthuswamy into the street. Muthuswamy was then taken to the hospital but it was already too late, Muthuswamy had died after sustaining third-degree burns on over ninety percent of his body. It is unclear why Muthuswamy fell into the pot but he had a history of epilepsy so the mostly likely explanation is he was suffering from a seizure before falling to the porridge.

On November 25 2014, Phillip Hughes of South Australia was struck in the neck by a ball bowled by New South Wales' Sean Abbott in a Sheffield Shield match in Sydney, Australia. As a result of the hit, he fell to the ground, where he lay unconscious. He was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, where he was placed into an induced coma in a critical condition. He had suffered a vertebral artery dissection, which led to a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Two days later, he was pronounced dead, at the young age of 25.

Phillip Hughes had played in 26 tests for the Australian National team between 2009-2014.

At least five people were killed after a launch rope reportedly tore down during a faulty parking attempt by another launch in Dhaka's Sadarghat. Police have detained five individuals in connection with the incident.

River Police Superintendent of Police Ashik Saeed confirmed the death toll to the Business Standard stating that five people who were critically injured initially, are now dead.
