If Cambodia is anything like the Philippines, the girl mentioned in the note (and probably her partner) threw him out of the window, took his money and phone, then wrote the notes.

Doubtful. Look at the handwriting. That is natural handwriting by someone writing English their whole lives. A Cambodian's handwriting in English would be MUCH neater as they haven't learned to write quickly.
